Hi there. My name is Jennifer.
I was once a regular person living in a city. I was a photographer and a ballet dancer with my own business.
On June 15, 2014, I fell. Hard. In varying degrees, I tore somewhere between 7-9 ligaments and two tendons in my ankle and foot, I ruptured my right quadriceps, and herniated a disk in my lower back.
My souvenirs from this accident are: a discolored divot remaining in my quadriceps, a constant dull ache in my lower back (with occasional surges and twinges down my right leg), a foot that rotates outward from the knee at a 30 degree angle, and an incurable nerve condition called CRPS that affects my lower leg from just below the knee to the toes.
I refuse to have my life defined by these souvenirs.
